An Act to repeal the Martial Law Order No.1371, dated February 9, 1984 issued by MLA Zone 'A' (Punjab) (Ban on Student Unions)

Preamble.-- Whereas it is expedient to repeal the Martial Law Order No.1371, dated February 9, 1984 issued by MLA Zone 'A' in the manner hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.-- (1) This Act may be called the Martial Law Order No.1371 (Repeal) Act, 1989.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Repeal of M.L.O. No.1371.-- The Martial Law Order No.1371 dated February 9, 1984 issued by MLA Zone 'A' (Punjab) is hereby repealed.

3. Repeal of Punjab Ordinance No.II of 1989.-- The Martial Law Order No.1371 (Repeal) Ordinance, 1989 (Punjab Ordinance No.II of 1989) is hereby repealed.
