(1) The employer in a public or private industrial undertaking shall keep a register of the names, dates of birth, and hours of work of all persons under the age of eighteen years employed in that undertaking. |

(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) of this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction after summary trial before a Magistrate, be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty rupees or, in the case of a second or subsequent offence, not exceeding two hundred rupees. |
