| 42. Any forest officer empowered in that behalf may, notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, direct the sale of any property seized under section 37 and subject to speedy and natural decay, and may deal with the proceeds as he might have dealt with such property if it had not been sold: Provided that if the claimant shall give security to the satisfaction of such forest officer equal to the value of such property, such forest officer shall forthwith release the seizure and allow such property to be removed by the claimant. |
