63. Section 60 of the principal enactment is hereby repealed and the following section substituted therefor: -

Each recognized political party or an independent group which has nominated candidates at any election for any electoral area may appoint not more than two agents (hereinafter referred to as the "counting agents") to attend at the counting of the votes at each place before the votes are counted at such election and not more than two agents to attend at the proceedings under section 65, Notice in writing of such appointments, stating the names and addresses of the persons appointed, shall be given by the secretary of such recognized party or its authorized agent or the group leader to the counting officer or returning officer, as the case may be, before the counting or declaration of the result commences The counting officer or returning officer as the case may be, may refuse to admit to the place where the votes are counted or the place where the proceedings under section 65 takes place any counting agent or other agent whose name and address. has not been so given.', |
