(1) A person shall not, without the leave of the master, board or endeavour to board any vessel which is wrecked, stranded or in distress, unless he acts under the authority of a receiver of wrecks or a person lawfully acting as such. |

(2) Any person who contravenes sub-section (1) may be repelled by the master of the vessel by force, and shall also be guilty of an offence and on conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand rupees. |
