43.
(1) Every person who, without the written consent of the Board first obtained, connects or causes to be connected any private sewer directly or indirectly with any public sewer, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction after trial before a Magistrate to a fine not exceeding one hundred rupees, and, in the case of a continuing offence, to an additional fine not exceeding twenty-five rupees for each day during which the offence is continued after a conviction thereof. |

(2) The Board may cause any private sewer which is connected with any such public sewer without its consent, to be demolished, altered or otherwise brought into conformity with the provisions of this Law; and all the expenses incurred thereby shall be paid by the person who connected or caused such sewer to be connected and, in the case of default, shall be recoverable as a sewerage charge. |
