Protection Of The Rights Of Elders Act (No. 9 of 2000) - Sect 1

Short title and date of operation

1. This Act may he cited as the Protection of the Rights of Elders Act. No. 9 of 2000 and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may appoint by Order published in the Gazette (hereinafter referred to as the "appointed date").
