2. Notwithstanding anything in the Army Act (Chapter 357), Navy Act (Chapter 358), Air Force Act (Chapter 359), regulations made thereunder or the Minutes on Pensions
| (a) service as a civilian employee under the British Government in the former British Services establishments in Sri Lanka; or |
|
| (b) service in the armed forces of the British Government or in their Bases in Sri Lanka, |
|
from their date of employment or with effect from September 3, 1939, whichever is later shall be reckoned for the purposes of pension along with service in respect of which a pension is payable under such regulations or Minutes. |
