| (1) The fields of study in respect of which postgraduate awards may be made shall be determined by the Prime Minister and approved by a Resolution of Parliament. Such Resolution shall be moved in accordance with the Standing Orders of Parliament. |

| (2) The Prime Minister shall after consultation with the Speaker, the Leader of the opposition and the Chairman of the Board, determine the number of scholarships to be awarded annually, and an estimate of the funding required for such grants, which shall be included in such Resolution as is specified in subsection (1). |
