Functions of the Board. [ 5, 6 of 1965.]

8. The functions of the Board shall be-

(a) to develop each undeveloped area ;

(b) to promote and operate schemes of-

	(i) irrigation,

	(ii) water supply,

	(iii) drainage,

	(iv) generation, transmission and supply of electrical energy, and

	(v) flood control;

(d) to promote afforestation;

(e) to control soil erosion ;

(f) to promote public health ;

(g) to prevent and control plant and animal diseases; and

(h) generally to promote agricultural and industrial development and economic and cultural progress in each area of authority.
