2. Section 2 of the State Agricultural Corporations Act, No. 11 of 1972 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal enactment ") is hereby amended in subsection (1) of that section by the omission of paragraphs "(vii) and (viii) and the substitution therefor, of the following new para graphs :
| " (vii) appoint the members of the Board in accordance with the provisions of this Act ; |

| (viii) appoint the Chairman of such Board in accordance with such provisions ; and |
|
| (ix) appoint the Deputy Chairman of such Board in accordance with such provisions.". |
