| (1) Any offence under this Act committed by any person may be compounded by the Corporation upon the payment by such person of a penalty not exceeding such amount as may be determined by the Corporation, being an amount not exceeding five times and not less than twice the maximum fine which may be imposed for that offence. |

| (2) Where an offence under this Act committed by any person is compounded by the Corporation under sub-section (1), no prosecution for that offence shall be instituted or maintained against that person. |
