| 17. The provisions of this Act shall have effect notwithstanding anything contained in any other written law, and accordingly in the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the provisions of this Act and such other law, the provisions of this Act shall prevail: Provided that this Act shall not prejudice the rights of the State to proceed under the provisions of any other law to recover possession of any State land or to establish title thereto or claim any relief in respect of any such land. |
