Village Councils Law (No. 6 of 1964) - Sect 21

Procedure for election of Vice-Chairman. [ 4, 60 of 1938.]

20.
(1) The first Vice-chairman of a Village Council shall be elected at the meeting held under section 17.
(2) Every vacancy in the office of Vice-Chairman of a Council after the first election to that office shall be filled by election held at the ordinary meeting of the Council next succeeding the date on which the office became vacant.
(3) The provisions of section 19 shall apply to the election of a Vice-Chairman in like manner as though every reference in that section to " Chairman " were a reference to " Vice-Chairman ".
